Miss Rodeo Louisiana 2017
Miss Rodeo Louisiana 2017 is McKenna Greene from Jonesville, LA. She is the daughter of Wayne and Jackie LeJune and Jody and Tracy Greene. McKenna is a 2015 graduate of Abeka Academy. She is currently living in Alexandria, LA while attending Louisiana State University-Alexandria studying Agriculture Communications with a minor in biology.
McKenna is no stranger to the rodeo arena. She has competed in Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, as well as the Girl’s Cutting Horse competition. She was the THSRA Region VI Champion Girl Cutter and finished in the top 15 at the state level for 2 years. She has held numerous queen titles throughout her career to include Miss Texas High School Rodeo, Miss Rodeo Texas Teen, Miss Rodeo Jasper, and Miss Rodeo Austin Princess, where she was the youngest girl to ever win this title.
McKenna has also had the opportunity to model for Julie Ewing, Mon Cheri Prom and Mon Cheri Evenings, Trieste Langford, Olav Jules Designs, and at the Santa Fe Fashion Week.
When she is not inside the rodeo arena or modeling, you will most likely find her hunting and fishing across the southern region. When she was young, her dad helped spark her interest in hunting. She killed her 1st deer at the young age of 7. These days you will likely find a rifle or bow in her hands hunting deer, turkey, ducks, and hogs. Her family owns a hog hunting company in Central Louisiana called Double G Hog Control.
During her 2017 reign, McKenna will travel to the many PRCA rodeos throughout Louisiana and across the United States. She is looking forward to meeting and welcoming rodeo fans, visiting hospitals, schools, and 4H events. In December of 2017, she will represent Louisiana at the Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas, NV.
