Congratulations to  Miss Rodeo Louisiana 2019-Cheyenne Benoit!


T he Miss Rodeo Louisiana organization recently crowned its 2019 queen, Cheyenne Alyssa Benoit, of DeQuincy.   Cheyenne is the daughter of Linda Owens and Ronnie Owens both of DeQuincy.  She is a 2015 graduate of DeQuincy High School and a student of McNeese State University majoring in Animal Science with an Equine Concentration.  Following her reign, Cheyenne also plans to pursue a Veterinary Technologist degree.  Throughout the year, Cheyenne, along with title holders from other states, will travel Louisiana and across the U.S. promoting the PRCA, the sport of rodeo, and its western heritage at rodeos, schools, hospitals, civic organizations, and other events.  In December, she will represent Louisiana at the Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas, NV and participate in activities leading up to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
